The main objective of the Department of History is to raise the well-educated individuals who will be able:
v To evaluate data and disciplines in the context of history;
v To analyze today’s political, economic, social and cultural events, in a rational and inclusive perspective, via knowledge acquired from the history;
v To conduct significant research projects to advance historical knowledge;
v To contribute to the constant reinterpretation of historical phenomena;
Department members aim to increase general interest in history and to broaden understanding of past human activity.
